The name Cedar Rock has meaning. The first trip I offered was a guided 4th class hike/climb up Cedar Rock Mountain in Pisgah National Forest. This is also the name of the Outward Bound basecamp where I guided many summer backpacking expeditions. It ignited my passion for leading groups into the outdoors.
